Hi @KMGG,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry you're facing this issue with your HP Envy Inspire 7900. It can be frustrating when the printer won't print but works fine for copying. Let's troubleshoot this together and get your printer back on track.

  • Have you tried printing from a different device (e.g., computer or smartphone) to check if the issue is specific to one device?
  • Is the printer showing as "online" in the printer queue, or is it listed as offline?
  • Are you printing documents from a specific application, or is the issue occurring with all types of print jobs?

Let's try these steps.

Check for Paper Jams Again:

  • Although you've cleared the paper jam, double-check the paper path and inside the printer. Look for any small bits of paper or debris that might still be blocking the paper feed.
  • Open the rear access door and inspect for jams or misaligned rollers.

Check Printer Queue:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (Windows) or Printers & Scanners (Mac).
  • Right-click on your HP Envy printer and select See what's printing. If there are stuck jobs, cancel or clear them and try printing again.

Check for Connection Issues:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer, either via USB or Wi-Fi.
  • If using Wi-Fi, confirm that the printer is connected to the same network as your device.

Run Printer Troubleshooter:

  • On Windows, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter, which may detect and resolve any underlying issues.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP Envy Inspire 7900.
  • If drivers are already up-to-date, try reinstalling them by uninstalling the printer in Devices and Printers and then reinstalling it.
