Color LaserJet Pro M255DW
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

So I have a LaserJet Pro M255DW. We hadn't used it in about a year as we were waiting on Toner from our supplier.

We received the toner and tried to set it up. The printer has been stuck on initializing for days, it doesn't do anything.

It's not connecting to the computer, via Network or USB.

I have tried hard resetting it, I have tried turning it on without toner, I have even reset the Permanent Storage and nothing has fixed the issue.

It was working perfectly fine, when we had toner, it wasn't until we tried to replace the toner now that it's not working. We are using HP Toner as well.

Does anyone have any ideas or is it just defective?

@CCBurnabyTech, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the printer is stuck on the initialization screen and you have already tried a hard reset and NVRAM reset.

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a printer failure. There are no steps that can be performed to resolve this issue.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
