Constant error message B305DFF9

A week or so ago my printer got an error message, which, when I went on line, could be corrected by unplugging it.  I did so, and it would get the error message once a day.  Then it went to twice a day.  Now it is coming on about every 20 minutes.  I get 1-2 docs printed before it comes back on.  Each time I unplug it to get the error message off.  Then a message comes on my computer which says that I have a legal HP cartridge installed.  I didn't install a cartridge.

I'd like to help!

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I have the same problem with error code B305DFF9 reoccurring on my OfficeJet Pro 9018.  It used to occur perhaps weekly, now it is happening 6 to 8 times a day.  Unplugging is only a temporary fix
