f you are experiencing continuous printing errors, paper jams, print system issues, or print head problems with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer, here are some steps that you can take to resolve the issues:

 

Clear Paper Jams

To clear the jam:

  1. Make sure you have loaded paper that meets specifications and is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged.
  2. Ensure the printer is clean.
  3. Make sure the trays are loaded correctly and are not too full.
  4. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and clear the printer of any paper obstructing the paper path.
  5. Remove the rear access door and gently remove the jammed paper from the printer, then replace the rear access door.
  6. If all jammed paper cannot be removed from the rear area of the printer, try removing paper jammed in the middle of the printer by opening the paper jam door located inside the top cover.

Print System and Print Head Issues

If you encounter print system or print head issues:

Align the Printer: Use the alignment feature to ensure the print head is properly aligned.

  • Touch Settings.
  • Touch Tools, then scroll and find Align printer.
  • Touch Align printer. The printer aligns the print head, prints an alignment page, and calibrates the printer.

Clean the Printhead: Clean the printhead to resolve streaking or white lines.

  • Load paper in the Main tray. Use plain paper to conserve photo paper.
  • Touch Settings.
  • Touch Tools, then scroll to Clean printhead. Touch Clean printhead.
