I installed the printer yesterday and it worked fine.

Not so today. Get the DD000F58 and nothing is working.

Hi @asc9200,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The DD000F58 error code on your HP printer indicates a firmware-related failure, often occurring during or after setup or a firmware update.

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • If the error persists, proceed to the next step.

2. Attempt a Cold Reset

  • Some HP printers allow a cold reset by holding specific buttons during power-up.
  • However, if the screen is frozen or unresponsive, this may not work.

3. Firmware Recovery (if accessible)

  • If the printer allows USB firmware updates:
    • Download the latest firmware from Official HP® Support.
    • Copy the firmware file to a USB drive.
    • Insert the USB into the printer and follow on-screen prompts (if available).

⚠️ If the screen is completely frozen, this step may not be possible.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
