@SURITAR, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The “Door Open” error on your HP DeskJet GT 5820 usually indicates that one of the printer’s access doors is not properly closed or the sensor is not detecting it correctly. Let’s walk through the steps to resolve this:
Check the Ink Access Door
- Open the top ink access door gently.
- Close it firmly until you hear a click.
- Make sure no cables or objects are obstructing the door from closing completely.
Check the Output Tray Door
- Ensure the output tray door (where printed pages come out) is properly closed.
- Sometimes this door can be slightly ajar and trigger the error.
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer using the Power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
Inspect for Broken Hinges or Latches
- If the door appears physically damaged or loose, inspect the hinges and latches.
- A broken latch may prevent the sensor from detecting the door as closed.
Reset the Printer
- If the error persists, perform a printer reset:
- With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
