The "Default error" when printing from your HP Laser 107a usually indicates a driver, connection, or printer status issue. Let's walk through the steps to resolve it:

Check Printer Status

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and connected via USB (HP Laser 107a is a USB-only printer).
  • Look for any blinking lights on the control panel:

Set HP Laser 107a as Default Printer

  • On your Windows PC:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on HP Laser 107a and select "Set as default printer".
    • If there are duplicate entries, remove the ones not in use.

Reinstall or Update Drivers

  • Download the latest full software and drivers from HP:
  • Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions to reinstall the printer.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
