Deskjet 3730 Printer stopped printing black instant ink

After not having used my printer for a while, I needed to use it for doing some printing for Christmas and shipping labels. It would not print black, it prints from the color cartridge just fine. I've tried printing my own files, printing information and demo pages and done both levels of cleaning, smudge cleaning, diagnostics, using the print doctor and nothing. Well, for a little bit it would print a little bit of black during the first level clean, then there was a bit more during the second level clean. I did a few more rounds of both kevels of cleaning and it almost seemed like it was improving, more off the black text was showing each time. Then it stopped and we were back to only printing color.


I've wasted so much paper and all of my allotted pages this month on trying to fix this. I even tried to carefully clean the cartridges according to the proper instructions, alas, nothing has worked. I was going to do a sale on my online store to try and see if I could get some extra money for presents this year, but printing shipping labels without black ink is not going to work. So my shop is now on hold. I've spent hours trying to sort this out. It's almost 4am my time right now.


I can't waste more time or paper on this. I hope something can be sorted out as I really need my printer.
