Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Door Open" error on your HP printer usually occurs due to one of the following reasons.
- The printer door is not fully closed.
- A sensor detecting the door position is misaligned or dirty.
- The printer's firmware or software is malfunctioning.
Check and Reclose the Door:
- Open the printer door completely and firmly close it again.
- Make sure there’s no paper or debris blocking the door from fully closing.
Inspect the Door Sensor:
- Look for a small plastic tab or switch that detects the door's position.
- If the tab is broken or misaligned, the printer may think the door is open.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Go to HP's support website and check for any available firmware updates for your printer.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power cable while the printer is on.
- Wait 60 seconds, then reconnect and turn it back on.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the HP printer software on your computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
