macOS 10.13 High Sierra

For some reason my printer has been have a "double vision" issue on printing images. Text is printed perfectly fine such as when I print off of google docs, but for some reason images will come with a slightly off, lighter double image. 

 

I've tried recalibrating and a hard reset (taking out the cartridges, unplugging the printer from the wire behind it, waiting, plugging it back in then putting the cartridges back in) and neither worked. Help?

 I'd like to help!

 

To better assist you - 

 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

3) What is the size,type, and weight of the paper your using?

 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  1. Load plain white paper in the tray.

  2. Print the report.

    • Printers with a touchscreen or menus: On the printer, open the Settings or Setup menu, touch Tools or Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report or similar.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
