This printer has worked fine for a few years until one color print was a mess, indicating I needed new ink cartridges.
I changed the indicated color cartridge and got the E O message. Then I installed a new black cartridge and still got the E O message. I checked for a paper jam. No problem. In fact it printed a Printer Information Report which had initially indicated CMY - Very Low. Installed new cartridge. Checked and wiped print heads. Tried turning off printer, waiting and then restart, still E O problem. Any ideas?

Hi @Richard682,
Thank you for your response
It sounds like you're experiencing a persistent error with your HP ENVY 6055e All-In-One printer even after replacing the ink cartridges and checking for paper jams. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation:
- Remove the new cartridges, ensure that all protective tapes have been removed, and then reinsert them. Make sure they are properly seated in the printer.
Check for Any Other Obstructions:
- Beyond paper jams, ensure there are no small pieces of paper or foreign objects inside the printer that might be causing the error.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall and then into the printer.
- Turn the printer back on.
Firmware Update:
- Make sure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can usually do this via the HP Smart app or by visiting HP’s official support site.
Use a Different Cartridge:
- If possible, try using another set of cartridges to see if the problem persists. Sometimes, a replacement cartridge might still be faulty.
Clean Cartridge Contacts:
- Power off the printer and unplug it.
- Carefully remove the cartridges and gently clean the contacts in the printer and on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
