Hi @Aaronjama07,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The E0 error message along with the blinking empty ink sign and exclamation point typically indicates an issue with the ink cartridges or the printer's ink detection system. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem.

Check Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the printer's access door and ensure that the ink cartridges are properly seated in their slots. Remove them and reinstall to ensure they are secure.

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Make sure you are using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with your printer model. Non-genuine or refilled cartridges may cause detection issues.

Clean the Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it. Remove the cartridges and gently clean the metal contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.

Reset the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset any temporary issues.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Test Print:

  • After performing the above steps, try printing a test page to see if the issue persists.

Replace Ink Cartridges:

  • If the error continues, one or more cartridges may be faulty. Consider replacing the cartridges with new ones.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
