Tank printer 7006

Had E3 fault on daughters tank printer. Noticed when trying to start up. the motor drive belt of the ink cartridge carriage was slipping. Saw the belt go but the cartridge was stationary and occasionally moved in jerks. After stripping down I found the drive belt is connected under the cartridge and is held on by a bit of rubber stuck on the belt and this had become separated allowing the belt to slip. I re secured the bit of rubber with some superglue and rebuilt. Sadly made a mistake in rebuilding. The rubber once again broke. Anyway this time to re secure the belt I tried a quick trick that saves stripping the printer down. With the power off it was possible to move the belt by hand. Where the rubber bit was broken from,  you could see some extra thickness to the belt. I put some super glue in this area and moved so it went under the printer head to the securing position with the power off, Left for ten minutes to set and it so far has fixed the slipping belt E3 fault, Worth a go before you buy a new belt and strip the printer down or scrap it,
