Hi @Monet4 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the E3 error on your HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer, along with the blinking orange lights, usually indicates a carriage jam or paper jam. Since you're seeing both an ink jam and paper jam error, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Clear Any Paper Jams
- Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Open the paper tray and remove any visible jammed paper.
- Look for any pieces of torn paper stuck inside, particularly in areas like the input and output rollers.
- Open the ink cartridge access door and inspect inside the printer to ensure no paper is stuck around the ink carriage.
2. Check the Ink Carriage
- Open the ink cartridge access door and look for any obstruction to the ink carriage (the area where the ink cartridges are installed).
- Manually move the ink carriage to the left and right to check if it's stuck.
- Ensure no small pieces of paper or objects are obstructing the carriage.
3. Remove and Reinstall Ink Cartridges
- Remove both ink cartridges carefully.
- Inspect them for any debris or packaging materials that might still be attached.
- Reinstall the cartridges properly, ensuring they click into place.
4. Reset the Printer
- After checking for jams and reinstalling the cartridges, turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if the error persists.
5. Check the Paper Feed
- Ensure that the paper loaded in the tray is properly aligned.
- Do not overfill the paper tray, and ensure that the paper used is within the printer's supported sizes.

I hope this helps.
