NEW SETUP.  WILL PRINT THE TEST PAGE BUT WILL PRINT NO OTHER DOCUMENTS.  GOES THROUGH THE MOTIONS LIKE ITS PRINTING BUT JUST SPITS OUT BLANK PAGE AFTER BLANK PAGE.  OF COURSE, EVEN THOUGH I AM JUST SETTING IT UP, I HAVE HAD IT IN THE BOX SINCE CHRISTMAS SO IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY.

@KW_CM, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Try making a standalone copy in color and black check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Since the printer was not used for a long time, the ink could have dried up or the ink nozzles would be blocked.

 

Check the estimated ink levels and replace any low/empty ink cartridges

 

Clean the ink cartridges

  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.

  4. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.

  5. NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.

     

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report from the printer control panel, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.
