Hi @PowKaChang

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

If your HP Envy 7855 is refusing to print on 4x6 photo paper and is not loading the paper, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Paper Size Settings

  • Paper Type and Size: Make sure that the paper size is set correctly in the printer settings. Go to the print dialog in the application you are using and ensure that you’ve selected 4x6 as the paper size.
  • Printer Preferences: Access the printer properties and check if the paper type is set to "Photo Paper" or similar.

2. Load the Paper Correctly

  • Paper Tray: Ensure you’re loading the 4x6 photo paper in the correct tray (usually the rear tray for photo paper).
  • Align the Paper: Make sure the paper is aligned correctly in the tray. Adjust the paper guides to fit snugly against the edges of the paper.

3. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  • Inspect the Printer: Open the printer and check for any paper jams or foreign objects that might be blocking the paper path.
  • Clean the Rollers: Sometimes, dirty rollers can prevent paper from loading properly. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the rollers.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  • HP Smart App: Use the HP Smart app to check for any available firmware updates for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve printing issues.

5. Restart the Printer

  • Power off the printer, unplug it for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset any temporary issues.

6. Try Different Paper

  • If possible, try a different brand or type of 4x6 photo paper to rule out the possibility of compatibility issues with the paper you are using.

7. Run the Printer Troubleshooter

  • If you're using Windows, you can run the built-in printer troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Printer.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
