My printer is showing ERROR 79 ...AND IS NOT PRINTER.....I REBOOT ..CHANGE TO LATEST DRIVER ...BUT STILL SAME ERROR...
Even i try to print from different computer ..I keep on hearing tick sound at the back of printer and it tries to print and then stop again ...Not sure whats going on ...even my IT team tried but no successs..
Can somebody shed some light on this.

If disconnected from all network and usb will it come to ready and print a configuration page? If yes, then it is not a hardware issue and that leaves either corrupted operating system that might be addressed with a factory reset or the network card on the printer is failing or printer is receiving corrupted data. If the 79 error occurs when not connected to usb or network then you have a failed formatter.
