Product: HP Deskjet 3720
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got the printer from my father who bought a new one. He forgot the EWS password and i can't get it reset. I tried the default reset options but they didn't help. Can someone help me reset the password.

@Lowpuma, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Let us try these steps to reset the printer to its factory defaults:

 

While applying power, press and hold the Power button, till Resume(paper icon) and Color Copy is off.

Then press and hold Wireless and Info for at least 1 sec.

I have tried what you suggested. But when i do this noting happens. I don't  see a resume and color copy turn of.

When i want to enter the ews and change the password or other settings, it's stil asking me for a user and password. 

Til today i stil don't now what that password or user are.

 

Can you please help me?

Check for a label/sticker on the inside of the ink cartridge access door that mentions of a PIN. If found, use the PIN to login to the EWS page. Username will be 'admin'.

 

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
