Envy 5030 Printer A paper Trayis open, please close error message

HP Recommended
Envy 5030

I broke the paper tray door very slightly while moving. It will no longer completely close. I am constantly getting the error message that the door is open and the printer wont do anything else. When I can get past the error message,It works completely fine despite the fact tray door is slightly bent so the sensor or whatever doesnt detect it.  Is there anyway I can disable or override this error message? I have to jiggle with the door for ages to get it to work and its very frustrating because its not a problem at all that should be stopping me from printing

Hi @JOhnnyK31

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We do not any reset or steps to override the error,  I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
