Hi @Lizzie723,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Envy 6155e shows a “Setup Issue” message and won’t print, it usually means the printer hasn’t completed its initial configuration or is stuck in HP+ activation. Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1: Check HP Account & HP+ Activation
- Make sure your printer is linked to your HP account.
- Sign in at HP Smart and confirm the printer shows as active.
- If it’s not, remove the printer and add it again using the HP Smart app.
Step 2: Complete Setup in HP Smart
- Open the HP Smart app on your PC or mobile.
- Select your printer.
- If you see “Setup Required”, follow the prompts to:
- Accept HP+ terms.
- Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Enable Web Services.
Step 3: Check Firmware & Network
- Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your PC.
- Update firmware via HP Smart > Printer Settings > Advanced Settings.
Step 4: Restart Everything
- Power off the printer for 60 seconds.
- Restart your router and PC.
- Power the printer back on and retry setup.
