@Randy174, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

An E3 error on the HP ENVY 6452e printer typically indicates a carriage or paper jam error. When you see amber lights flashing with this error code, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Turn off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer to ensure it is completely turned off.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer’s access door.
  • Carefully check inside the printer for any paper pieces or other obstructions.
  • Remove any jammed paper or foreign objects you find. Be gentle to avoid tearing the paper, which can create additional jams.

Check the Carriage:

  • Manually move the carriage (where the ink cartridges are installed) to each side to ensure it is not stuck.
  • Make sure there is no obstruction in the carriage path.

Reconnect and Restart:

  • Close the access door and reconnect the power cord.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Perform a Test Print:

  • Once the printer powers on without any error codes, try printing a test page to ensure the issue is resolved.
