Since posting I have taken the printer off the surge protector and plugged it directly into the wall socket. So far, no more boot hang problem. Don't know why the surge protector (power strip) would be a problem. And, I cannot find ANY tech info from ANY source as to why HP Rx direct connection to wall power outlet. ANY ideas out there?
