Envy Photo 7155 stops mid boot. Must unplug and restart to get printer functional.

My NEW Envy Photo 7155 stops mid boot and must be unplugged to restart.  I see this has been a concern since 2018.  Does HP have a problem and is there a fix other than returning the unit?

Since posting I have taken the printer off the surge protector and plugged it directly into the wall socket.  So far, no more boot hang problem.  Don't know why the surge protector (power strip) would be a problem.  And, I cannot find ANY tech info from ANY source as to why HP Rx direct connection to wall power outlet.  ANY ideas out there?
