Does anyone know how to get around error 49 flashing on the small screen of my laserjet MFP 28w? It is just going around in circles, turning off after a few moments and then back on again.
Any help/suggestions would be more than welcome.
Than you.

Has no one experienced this?
I am most disappointed with this printer as it is barely two years old and has been used rarely (according to its printout, when it was working, it had produced 150 imprints and 15 copies). Is there a HP employee on here who could advise if this error means the next step is to bin it?

Hi @jasperatoo,
I'd like to help!
Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
