Hi @Thompson1954

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The error code 62.80.13 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 typically indicates a problem with the printhead.

Here are steps you can take to resolve the issue:

1. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet rather than a power strip.

2. Check the Printhead:

  • Open the printer and carefully remove the printhead.
  • Inspect the printhead and its contacts for any dirt or damage.
  • Clean the contacts gently with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Reinsert the printhead securely and close the printer cover.

3. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support page for your printer model and download the latest firmware updates.
  • Firmware updates can resolve bugs and improve printer performance.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
