I received the above error code.  I unplugged the power cord from the printer, unplugged from the wall, waited, then replugged to printer then working outlet.  Now printer won't turn on.  There seem to be numerous identical questions on the board.  The response from HP is a private message to OP.  Not sure why HP can't just post the solution on the board, so please, can someone share the super secret semi full reset instructions with me?  And please, if the instructions start with "while printer is on", it won't help.  The printer will not turn on

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance

Hi @maryfisch1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re dealing with a frustrating situation. The error code 0xb94da7e6 on your HP Officejet 4650 and the fact that the printer won't turn on suggests there might be a more serious issue, possibly related to hardware. However, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Verify Power Connections

Check Power Cord and Outlet:

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Test the power outlet by plugging in another device to ensure it’s working.

Try a Different Power Cord:

  • If you have another power cord that is compatible with the Officejet 4650, try using it to rule out a faulty power cord.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

Since the printer won’t turn on, you can try a different approach for a hard reset:

Disconnect Power:

  • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait:

  • Leave the printer disconnected for at least 60 seconds.

Reconnect Power:

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.

Press the Power Button:

  • If the printer does not turn on, try pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds before releasing it.

3. Check for Error Messages orLights

  • Look for Lights or Symbols:
    • If any lights are flashing or there are specific symbols on the printer’s control panel, refer to the printer’s manual for their meanings.

4. Inspect for Physical Damage

Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the printer for any visible signs of damage or obstructions that might be causing power issues.

Verify Internal Connections:

  • If you are comfortable doing so, carefully open the printer (following the manufacturer's instructions) to ensure that all internal connections and cables are secure.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
