Product: HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One Printer - E710a

Hi I'm afraid I'm having an same issue when trying to set up an old Officejet 6500A with my Windows 11 Samsung notebook - I'm not sure which model it is, possibly 750XDA.

 

I've tried to use the printer with another laptop (an old MacBook Air) and had no issues, but with the Windows machine there seems to be an issue.  The printer is installed and sometimes reads as ready, or offline but when a print job is sent it prints one line or a few characters per page of symbols (wingdings etc)

 

When trying to connect via the HP smart app and received the error code above.
