Thanks for sharing the error code. The EBS00P0007 error on your HP Smart Tank 7602r typically indicates a printhead or ink system issue, often related to initialization, alignment, or ink flow problems.

Here's how to fix it step-by-step:
Step 1: Power Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  5. Turn the printer back on.


Step 2: Check the Printhead and Ink System

  • Open the ink access door and ensure:
    • All ink bottles are properly seated and clicked into place.
    • There are no leaks or spills.
    • The printhead latch is securely closed.
  • If you recently installed or replaced the printhead, make sure the orange protective caps were removed.


Step 3: Run the HP Smart App Diagnostic

Use the Diagnose & Fix tool in the HP Smart app:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your PC or mobile.
  • Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.


Step 4: Update Firmware

Outdated firmware can trigger false errors:
