Hi @deniselc1961,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions within the printer. Carefully remove any jammed paper if present.

Ink Cartridge Issues:

  • Open the printer to check the ink cartridges. Ensure they are properly installed and have sufficient ink. Remove and then reinstall them to ensure proper connectivity.

Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait about a minute, then plug it back in and power it on.

Clean Printer Contacts:

  • Sometimes, dust or debris can affect printer connectivity and function. Gently clean the contacts on the ink cartridges and within the printer using a clean, lint-free cloth.

Firmware Update:

  • If your printer's firmware is outdated, it can cause errors. Visit HP's support website and download the latest firmware update for your printer model.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure your printer settings are correctly configured. You can do this from your computer or using the printer's control panel.

I hope this helps.
