Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have tried to insert a NEW HP ink cartridge into my MFP477dw printer and it is giving me an error message that it is an older generation cartridge.  I paid over AUD200 for this cartridge and am completely annoyed that I cannot use it.  I need to get directions to fix this or directions on obtaining a free replacement cartridge from HP.

 

I have read article below and tried the steps suggested therein but without any success.

I wonder why there are older generation cartridges still sold in the market in the first place.
