Steps to Fix the Issue
1. Restart Everything
- Turn off your printer.
- Unplug it from the power source for 60 seconds.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router.
- Restart your computer or mobile device.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
2. Run HP’s Diagnose & Fix Tool
HP has a built-in tool in the HP Smart app that can automatically detect and fix issues like this.

- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click your printer > Diagnose & Fix.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Check Internet Connection
Even if your device is online, the printer might not be:
- Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
- Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer settings to confirm.
4. Update Firmware
Outdated firmware can cause strange errors:

- Download and install the latest firmware and drivers.
