The error code 0xb840eb58 on your HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer typically indicates a firmware or hardware-related issue. Try the following troubleshooting steps:

 

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall and the back of the printer.
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  1. Open the printer’s front and rear access panels.
  2. Look for any jammed paper or debris.
  3. Remove any obstructions carefully.
  4. Close all panels properly and restart the printer.

3. Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer on, disconnect the power cord.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer on.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  1. Go to HP’s official website (HP Support).
  2. Download and install the latest firmware update for your HP ENVY 5055.
  3. Follow the instructions to complete the update.

5. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Press and hold the Power button and Cancel button together for 15 seconds.
  2. Release the buttons and wait for the printer to restart.

6. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Uninstall the printer software from your computer.
  2. Download and install the latest drivers from the HP website.
  3. Restart your computer and reconnect the printer.
