HP Recommended
hp officejet pro 8600 n911
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I am getting the following errors... for my HP Officejet 8600 n91.

Error message : ink system failure, & printhead missing or not detected

I have turned printer off & on, that didn't work

I have taken each ink cartridge out & reinstalled,  that didn't work.

I have installed brand new ink cartridges. That didn't work.

I lifted the printhead as mentioned on google. That didn't work.

 Any suggestions? TIA

Hi @Doll512,

If you have already performed the steps from the documentError Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
