@Cully1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The E0 error code typically indicates a problem with the ink cartridges that could be related to installation or recognition issues. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the error:

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are compatible with your HP printer model 2810e.
  • Use genuine HP cartridges recommended for your printer.

Reinstall the Ink Cartridges:

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door. The carriage will move to the center.
  • Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
  • Remove the ink cartridges from their slots.
  • Inspect the cartridges for any protective tape or debris. If present, remove the tape.
  • Reinsert the cartridges into their respective slots, ensuring they snap into place securely.
  • Close the ink cartridge access door.

Clean Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
  • Clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water.
  • Clean the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
  • Allow the contacts to dry before reinserting the cartridges and reconnecting the power cord.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect it to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on.
