I get an error message on my 8025e that says there is a problem with the printer or print system.  Turn printer off then on.  If you continue to get this message, contact support.  I turn it off then on and keep getting the same error.  Please help!

Hi @Idontknowwhatsw

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is experiencing a persistent error related to the printer or print system.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can clear temporary glitches.

2. Check for Obstructions

  • Open the printer's access doors and inspect the carriage path for any debris or obstructions.
  • Use a flashlight to check for hidden objects that might be blocking the carriage.

3. Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve known issues and improve performance.

4. Perform a Semi-Full Reset

  • Unplug the printer and hold down the Cancel (X) button and the Wi-Fi button simultaneously while plugging it back in.
  • Release the buttons when the printer powers on.

5. Test with Another Device

  • Try connecting the printer to a different computer or smartphone to determine if the issue is specific to your current device.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
