I understand your printer is showing a blue screen with the error code D818B828. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Power Reset the Printer
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for about 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall and then into the printer.
Turn the printer back on and check if the error clears.
Check for Stuck Cartridges or Paper
Open the ink access area and inspect for any paper jams, stuck carriage movement, or loose ink cartridges.
Ensure the cartridges are seated correctly and the carriage can move freely from side to side.
Disconnect External Devices
If your printer has a USB drive or memory card inserted, remove it.
Disconnect any USB cables or network cables, leaving only the power cord connected, then restart the printer.
Update the Printer’s Firmware (if accessible)
If the printer starts normally after a reset, connect it to Wi-Fi and check for any available firmware updates via Setup → Printer Maintenance → Update the Printer.
Keeping the firmware updated can prevent internal software crashes.
Try a Different Power Outlet
Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet instead of a surge protector or extension cord.
Power fluctuations can sometimes cause firmware or hardware errors like this one.
I hope this helps.
