Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I received the error "cartridge in slot on left is not intended for use in this printer."  I have the original HP cartridge in, it was working one day, then stopped then next.  I followed all the instructions from other post such as power cycling and cleaning, it did not work.  Please advise how to fix?

If you insert any other ink instead, do you still get the error message?

 

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Betty,

I bought a new cartridge to try, but now i get another error "clear cartridge jam."   What do i do now?

Also, i had the most up to date firmware.

Try inserting the previous ink again and check if the same error comes up.

 

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
