@Nette-Marshall1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy 6500e - Error Code 77.02.02 While Installing Ink Cartridges!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Error 77.02.02 usually pops up when there’s an issue with the ink cartridge installation. Here are a few steps to fix it:

Check Cartridge Compatibility

Make sure you’re using genuine HP ink cartridges that are compatible with your HP Envy 6500e.

If they’re third-party cartridges, they might not be recognized properly.

Reinstall the Cartridges

Turn off the printer and unplug it from power.

Open the cartridge access door and carefully remove the cartridges.

Check for any protective tape or packaging still attached—this is easy to miss!

Reinsert the cartridges securely until they click into place.

Reset the Printer

Plug the printer back in and power it on.

Disconnect from Wi-Fi, wait a minute, then reconnect.

Try installing the cartridges again and see if the error clears.

Check for Firmware Updates

On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer to ensure your printer is running the latest firmware.

If the error persists after these steps, let me know! We might need to do a deeper troubleshooting check. 😊

Looking forward to hearing how it goes!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
