Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Everything is OK, the driver is up to date, ink level ok, the printer is connected, HP printer is the default printer, HP Print and Scan Doctor isn't finding any problems and yet, my printer won't print.

What happens when you print?

Are you able to make a copy?

the only thing I can do is scan. Copy and print are not working. When I try to print, the printer makes sounds for a few seconds like it's getting ready to print then it stops and nothing happens, no error messages. There is enough paper in the tray, ink levels are OK, and the printer is connected.

Perform a power reset , Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
