Everything is functional but not printing

hi I am wondering about our HP desk Jet 3520 we have not used it for 2 years and was still in its box we started it up and all the machine parts are working fine and we feed paper however the printer head moves but does not actually print any ink we took of any of the inwraps as well as got new black ink. Is there anyone who can help us? Thank you

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that your printer is printing blank pages, I am glad to assist you.

Clean the printhead automatically

  1. Load plain, white paper into the paper tray.
  2. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow 
     

     

     to select Settings, and then press OK.
  3. Press the Down Arrow to select Tools, and then press OK.
  4. Press the Down Arrow to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK.
    The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints a test page.
  5. Review the print quality on the test page.

Based on age the printer is obviously out of warranty. If the printhead on your machine is removable, you can try this manual cleaning method from HP.
