Hi @DebsKC,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The F0.01.04.07 error typically indicates a firmware or internal communication issue within the printer, despite already updating the firmware. Here are some further steps that might help.

Reinstall Printer Driver: On your Mac (Sonoma 14.4.1), go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Remove the printer from the list by selecting it and clicking the “-” button. Then, reinstall it by adding it back, and check if this resolves the issue.

Factory Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, then unplug it from the power source.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect it and power it back on.
  • This should clear any saved settings and configurations that might be causing the error.

Disable IPv6 (if applicable):

  • Some printers experience issues with IPv6. Access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the printer’s IP address into a web browser, navigate to Network Settings, and try disabling IPv6 if it’s enabled.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the printer while it’s powered on and wait 60 seconds.
  • While plugging it back in, hold down the power button for about 10-15 seconds before releasing it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
