The printer screen just shows pining document. Never actually prints

Does your printer show or display an offline message?

Are you getting any errors?

1. This issue can occur for various reasons, such as the following:
2. The printer is turned off
3. The network cable or USB cable is disconnected
4. The printer is set to "Use printer offline"
5. The following symptoms might also be present:
6. Printer does not respond
7. Printer icon(s) status is offline or greyed out
8. The default printer driver has been changed
9. Unable to find printers or other devices on the network
10. File and printer sharing is disabled
11. Network port IP address changed or is reset
12. Network loses connection with the printer after it enters sleep mode

Follow the steps from this document and see if that helps.
