After clearing any paper jams, restarting, unplugging, etc., the Paper Jam Error Message keeps appearing.  I tried the four step process recommended in the forum.  I was not able to move the cartridges from right to left.  Should I contact a service center?

I understand you've already tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve the false paper jam error message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e All-In-One Printer. If you've followed the recommended steps and are still encountering the issue, contacting a service center or reaching out to HP support directly would be the next appropriate step.

 

Before you do that, here are a few additional steps you can try:

 

  • Check for small pieces of paper: Sometimes, even small shreds of paper can cause sensors to register a jam. Use a flashlight to carefully inspect the paper path and remove any small pieces of paper that may be stuck.
  • Reset the printer: Try performing a hard reset on the printer. This involves unplugging the printer from the power source, waiting for about 1-2 minutes, and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes clear out temporary glitches.

  • Inspect paper tray and rollers: Make sure the paper tray is properly aligned and that the paper guides are set to the correct paper size. Also, check the rollers inside the printer for any debris or obstructions that may be causing the paper to feed improperly.
