False paper jam error / ink cartridge jammed on the right side and won’t move.

HP 8720

My printer gave me a paper jam error. I cleared the paper but the error persisted. Following online I structurons I looked inside. I’m supposed to move the ink cartridge back and forth to look for paper debris but the cartridge is jammed on the far right side and won’t move. I don’t know what to do. Help!

@Char31, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are anot able to print as the print carriage is stuck. Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Paper Jam Error.

For more info on resolving a carriage jam, refer to this article - 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
