Common Flashing Light Scenarios

Power Light Blinking:

• Cause: The printer is processing a job or initializing.
• Solution: Wait for the process to complete. If it takes too long, cancel the job or restart the printer.

Attention Light (Exclamation Mark) Flashing:

• Cause: A paper jam, empty paper tray, or cartridge issue.
• Solution:
  • Check for paper jams and remove them.
  • Ensure the paper tray is loaded properly.
  • Verify that the cartridges are correctly installed and not empty or damaged.

WiFi Light Flashing:

• Cause: Printer is not connected to a wireless network.
• Solution: Reconnect the printer to WiFi:
  • Use the HP Smart App to set up the printer.
  • Ensure the printer is within range of the router.

Both Power and Attention Lights Flashing:

• Cause: Printer error (e.g., firmware issue or hardware malfunction).
• Solution:
  • Reset the printer by turning it off, unplugging it for 60 seconds, and then powering it back on.

All Lights Flashing (Power, Attention, and WiFi):
