Hi @Peter12-_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2632 All-in-One printer is showing a flashing orange (amber) information light. This usually indicates an error or attention condition. Here’s how to troubleshoot it:

1. Check the Printer Display / Status

The information light often comes with blinking patterns or other lights (power, Wi-Fi).

Identify if there’s a specific error code or message in HP Smart app or the printer itself.

2. Check Ink Cartridges

Open the cartridge access door and make sure:

Cartridges are installed correctly.

No protective tape remains on the cartridges.

Ink cartridges are compatible and not empty.

Remove and reseat both cartridges to ensure proper contact.

3. Check Paper

Make sure there is paper loaded correctly in the input tray.

Remove any jammed or stuck paper inside the printer.

Ensure the paper tray is fully inserted.

4. Clear Any Print Jobs

On your PC, go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners → HP DeskJet 2632 → Open Queue.

Cancel all stuck print jobs.

5. Power Cycle the Printer

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall.

Wait 30–60 seconds.

Plug it back in and power on.

This often clears temporary errors causing the orange information light.

6. Update Printer Firmware

Use the HP Support → DeskJet 2632 Drivers page to check for firmware updates.

Updated firmware can fix error signals and improve stability.

7. Check Wireless / Network Status

If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, a flashing orange light can indicate network issues.

On the printer, press the Wi-Fi button to see if it blinks, then reconnect to your network if needed.

I hope this helps.
