I have been using this printer and laptop together for over a year and tonight it wouldn't print. When I open the printer in my laptop settings, I see the job as: stopped - 'filter' failed

How do I correct this issue?

Click on the below link to download and install this package which will update drivers and the certificate:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...

 

If the issue persists, 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
