Hi @Tsjkharris,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating that your HP ENVY 5660 is still giving you that error message. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure the cartridges are seated properly. Press down firmly until they click into place.

Inspect Cartridges: Check for any protective tape still on the cartridges or any damage. Clean the gold contacts on the cartridges and the printer with a lint-free cloth.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Update Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware. You can check this through the HP Smart app or on the HP website.

Try Different Cartridges: If you have spare cartridges, try installing them to see if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
