I have an HP Envy 7855 printer that freezes on boot-up. The HP logo displays, and so do a series of dots, but the main menu does not show. I have:
 
• Disconnected the power cable from the printer while it is on for 2 minutes.
• Disconnected any other cables connected to the printer.
• Press and held the printer’s power button for 30 seconds.
• Directly connected the power cord to the wall outlet.
• Reconnected the power cable to the printer.
 
These steps did not resolve the issue. HP replies in other posts say that an advanced reset needs to be done, but no instructions are provided. Can someone from HP please send me instructions on how to do an advanced reset?  Thank you.

I see that the printer is non-responsive and is stuck at the initialization screen. A reset is possible only if you are able to bypass this screen and access the home screen of the printer.

 

As this is not possible, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6) Fill out the webform and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes, please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.  

 

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
