I have a HP2549. The bottom three lights were flashing and I had a message advising that the ink cartridge carriage was jammed. I took it apart and found a small rectangle shaped dark grey magnet with a slot in it under the carriage which was jamming it. Any idea where the magnet  belongs? Thanks.

@esmt, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The parts on the printer are not customer replaceable, internal parts removed/broken need to be taken to the service center.

If you have already performed the steps from the document 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
