Hi @Hannes1989,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

t sounds like your printer is experiencing a serious issue if all three LEDs are continuously lit and the display is unresponsive. This type of problem can indicate various issues ranging from hardware failures to firmware issues. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

1. Perform a Power Reset

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Use the power button to turn off the printer. If the power button is unresponsive, unplug the printer from the power source.

Unplug and Wait:

  • Disconnect the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet. Wait for at least 60 seconds to ensure all residual power is discharged.

Reconnect and Restart:

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer. Turn the printer back on and check if the issue persists.

2. Check Power Supply and Connections

Inspect the Power Cord:

  • Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet. Check for any visible damage to the cord.

Try a Different Outlet:

  • Plug the printer into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.

3. Check for Hardware Issues

Inspect for Paper Jams:

  • Open all accessible compartments and look for any paper jams or obstructions. Clear any paper that might be blocking the printer.

Check Cartridge Area:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not clogged. If possible, remove and reinsert the cartridges.

4. Firmware and Software Troubleshooting

Firmware Update:

  • If you can access the printer’s settings through a computer or mobile app, check for any firmware updates and apply them. Updates can sometimes fix underlying issues.

Software Reset:

  • If you have the printer software installed on your computer, try using it to perform a reset or diagnostic test.

5. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Hard Reset:
    • Some printers have a hard reset option that can be accessed by pressing and holding specific buttons. Refer to your printer’s manual or the HP Support website for the exact combination of buttons.

6. Check for Error Codes

  1. Consult Manual or Support:
    • Refer to your printer’s manual or the HP Support website for specific LED patterns or error codes. The pattern of the LEDs can sometimes indicate a particular type of error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
